I know some are the clocks on the microwave, DVD player, coffee maker, etc., but could some also be just electronics that you simply plug in and leave plugged in, even while not using, like a lamp? I just need someone to help me specify how i can tell vampire electronics to ordinary electronics..Thanks!
When the flight attendant say, "You may now use your electronics," what kind of electronics can I use? Can I use a phone? If I had an iPhone, could I be able to use the internet or something? And why aren't you allowed to use electronics sometimes when you fly on a plane anyway?
I have been to many electronics supply stores and they all have reasonable prices but when i go to checkout, they all add another $7-$10 for shipping! This is ridiculous because a trimpot does not need a big box for it to be sent in. It could be sent in a padded envelope and sent anywhere in the country for $2. The question is does anyone know of an electronics supply store that does not charge so much shipping? Thank you for your answers!
I learned a few years ago in an Ethics and Social Responsibility class that most electronics, computers and mobile phones have a component that is made using slave labor. I'm not sure whether it's an element that is mined or something else. But I'm sure that such a thing exists and that slave labor is a part of the production line in electronics (it was recently on the news too). Anybody know what that component/ element is?
