Punta Gorda police warning of car-hopping spree
There is a new warning about thieves who are on the prowl looking for unlocked cars. They hit a Punta Gorda neighborhood over weekend – stealing purses, electronics and anything else they could get their hands on.

Galesburg City Council upgrades AV equipment
The Galesburg City Council voted 8-0 Monday to spend almost $150,000 to update video and sound equipment in council chambers, the Erickson Conference Room and City Hall’s audio-visual room. The successful bidder was Thompson Electronics Co. of Peoria.
